Abstract

The primary objective of this research is to investigate the recently developed phenomena of cloud accounting. In its most basic form, cloud accounting refers to the practice of doing accounting tasks, not within the confines of an organization but rather while connected to the cloud. In this more digital era, the introduction of cloud computing and its continued growth have conferred tremendous benefits upon our informational lives. According to the study's findings, accounting in the 21st century is impossible to conceptualize without the assistance supplied by information technology. Moreover, the revolutionary phenomenon of cloud computing has demonstrated its significance as a helpful tool not only in the realm of information technology but also within the realm of accounting. As a result, a new idea has surfaced, and it is called cloud accounting. Cloud accounting is the next big thing, and it has the potential to transform the accounting process completely. Cloud computing raises financial data security and privacy problems. Cloud computing infrastructure offers access to applications and data from anywhere worldwide. In addition, various organizations evaluate framework security and privacy. Data and apps become IP that meets company procedures and goals. When data and programs are fetched from faraway sources, data leakage and IP address outage are possible. Finally, after embracing cloud computing, the financial industry still follows tight laws to preserve system security and privacy. Finally, cloud security and privacy remain an issue. The information presented in this article has been gathered and compiled with consideration given to the most recent studies and research carried out by accounting professionals and the opinions of accounting experts. This paper provides a theoretical review of cloud accounting, including its idea, benefits, weaknesses, comparison with traditional accounting, and other critical issues that may affect the accounting profession in the coming years. This work tries to explain cloud accounting theoretically.
