Abstract

This paper focuses on the Foreign Direct Investment in Bangladesh with some data from different aspects and describes how these investments are helping the economy of Bangladesh. Foreign direct investment can be used as a potent weapon for developing the Bangladesh Economy. Firstly, theoretical issues have been discussed in this paper regarding methods of international business and the study will represent the theoretical analysis of Foreign Direct Investment in Bangladesh. In the empirical analysis part, we have analyzed the real flow of FDI in Bangladesh This paper shows the Introduction, method of FDI, Components, types of FDI, and FDI Policy Framework and Incentives. This study has identified some major problems that hinder the flow of FDI in this country. Some factors have been put forward to overcome these challenges. If the Government can maintain a favorable environment by providing attractive packages, Bangladesh will undoubtedly be a good choice for FDI in the coming years. Here analyzing the Motives of FDI and potential sectors of FDI, some suggestions are made towards attraction and increasing of FDI. It includes the Administrative Structure of Foreign Direct Investment such as the Board of Investment, Privatization Commission, and Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority (BEPZA).
